Life is far too short to not enjoy what you do, so let’s get going!

About Me

I am so excited that you are here! I can’t wait to help you realize what your dream career is and how to obtain it while pinching those pennies. I want to see you have the quality of life that you crave and deserve. Life is far too short to spend 40-50 hours/week hating what you do and living for your nights and weekends. Let’s do this together!

I am a young woman from the Midwest with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree. I made the choice to go on for extra schooling because I remember seeing graphs plastered all over my high school about career earnings and how that relates to levels of education. Those graphs showed me how much a high school graduate made, someone with a 2-year degree, 4-year degree, and so on. With each degree the graph climbed toward more money.

Being a naïve teenager, I always thought I would be rich one day. Because of this, I decided to go on for a Master’s degree so I could make that money, honey! I also went on for a Master’s because my Bachelor’s is in Psychology and you can basically do nothing with that, so I really had no choice. These degrees took me 5 ½ years and cost me $52,000. I will be paying that $52,000 off for the next 30 years. And, at 7% interest, I currently owe $54,000, despite making monthly payments.

Yes, you read that right, I owe more today than the day I started. I have yet to pay 1 red cent toward my principle (if you are young and have no idea what loans, interest, and principles are, I will cover that in one of my posts, stay tuned). I do not want this to happen to you!

Since graduating with my degrees and slowly drowning in student loan debt, I have spent much of my professional life working in higher education. I have worked for both a four-year University and a two-year Technical College. I am very knowledgeable about scholarships, financial aid, admissions processes, career assessments, and more! My professional experience, combined with my own personal educational experience, has given me so many tips and tricks to help others save time and money on a degree.

If you are already dead-set on an education/career path, I can help you get done faster and do it as cheap as possible! If you have no idea where to start or how to figure out what you want to be when you grow up, I can help with that! If you are 45 years old and have worked in a dead-end job for 20 years and are in desperate need for a change but have no idea where to start, I can help you, too!

My goal with this blog is to help others avoid the path I took. I want to help YOU find the career of your dreams in a much more economical way than I did. I also want to help you achieve these goals as fast as possible. I am going to give you tips on how to figure out what you want to do and how much education it requires. I am also going to help you save as much money as possible while you are getting that degree and working toward that career.

Whether you are 15 or 50, there is hope for you! It is never too late to change your mind and follow your dreams. Life is way too short to just exist. YOU are not average, and YOU are not mediocre. We can all choose happiness and we can all make our lives better. Life is all about choices, and I’m here to give you the tools you need to make those choices. Now let’s get going! You want to start your dream job as soon as possible!
